My husband and his childhood dog Frau. The picture on the left was when he came home on R&R she was super excited to see him but she was also very sick and older =( it was so sweet seeing her try to run up to him. This was the last time he got to see her, she passed a couple months later.

My fiancé heading off to AIT from his holiday break. In 17 more weeks he’ll come home and we will get married!!
My name’s Hailey and this is my Airman, Brock. We met back in 2007 in our high school Spanish class. He was a Sophomore and I was a Freshman. We ended up getting seated next to each other and were placed into a group. We were friends ever since. He always came to me for advice on girls, friends, etc. We were always there for each other. We tried dating the next year, but we didn’t think it would work, so we remained friends.
During his first year at Hope College, I visited him (his girlfriend at the time didn’t like that too much), and we just realized we missed each other, but he didn’t want to break up with his girlfriend yet. I was in my Senior year, so it was okay with me. My first year of community college, I was walking through the main lounge and noticed him sitting there. He said that Hope got too expensive and and to move back home. We began hanging out that December and We began dating a month later!
He told me he wanted to join the Air Force and I was behind him 100%. He went to our local recruiter, got info, got everything he needed, took his ASVAB, swore in, and left Aug. 7th. He then graduated on Oct. 5th, and I was so proud of him. I was able to go and it was an awesome experience. He’s now currently in tech school at the Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, TX . He graduates from there in April then is heading to his first base (where I will be joining him) in Germany.
We’re getting married next month on Dec. 27th and we couldn’t be anymore excited. We’re each others best friend and we couldn’t be happier. =D

This is my husband Erik & I. We’ve been together for I don’t know how long and neither does he. We got married on July 4, 2012. He’s been my best friend for almost 10 years, when we met on XBOX Live. We are at Camp Pendleton FINALLY TOGETHER! I’m currently in the process of enlisting in the Marine Corps as well, which will of course pull us back apart but it’s worth it. We’re excited, and we’re happy and we’re both pursuing our dreams together. :)

I’m Ruthie, he’s Cody. He is in the Navy currently stationed in Hawaii while I’m still in the mountains of North Carolina. He’s just a small town country boy at heart who’s been to countless big cities because of his job, but he never fails to come home to his backwoods beauty.
He is four years older than me. We always knew of each other because of our high schools JROTC program. It was about two months before he left for basic when we began to actually hang out. We went to a party that night, and while everyone else was babysitting my cousin who was pitifully drunk and crying, we sat by the fire alone. He asked me out. I wanted to say no because I knew that he would be leaving so soon, but for some odd reason I couldn’t. We’ve been crazy about each other ever since.
We’ve been dating for a year and three months. After we got to about six months we hit a rough spot. We took some time away from each other to get everything put back together in our own individual lives. All that the break did was make us both realize how much we love each other.
After his basic training he was in Florida for A school, then San Diego for C school. When he finally graduated C school in September he was able to come home on leave for the first time since he left for basic training in November of last year. Now he’s in Hawaii and will be deployed in April.
We’re not engaged because of the small time that we have really been together, a year while being together would’ve still not been long enough for us to decide on that. Whatever the future holds, we’ll just take it with an open mind. For now I wear the promise ring he bought me and hope we can make this last.
- We met in high school. Unfortunately, we didn’t really talk until after high school. By then he was in enlisted in the army and in Washington while I was preparing to leave Hawaii to go to college in Arizona.
- We’ve been together for 3 months, would’ve been longer, but I made him ask me out in person and made it official then.
- He is deployed. He is currently in Afghanistan. When we first started, he was already stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. We had just 1 week together back home.
- We aren’t engaged… yet ;)
