It was pretty much the worst night of my senior year, all plans were cancelled last minute and I had nothing to do. So a friend and I went to the bowling alley to meet up with some friends. Well this friend I went bowling with introduced me to this kid, whom she had worked with at a water park. At first I was completely uninterested, I didn’t even look at the kid. All I knew was that his name was Logan and that I would probably never see him again. Later that night out of curiosity I looked this Logan character up on Facebook to do the average girl creeping, needless to say I ended up adding the kid and to make up for my sour personality the night before I decided I would send him a message saying “It was nice meeting you last night.” One message lead to another, then one text lead to another, and before I knew it I was going on a date with this kid. We met up at the mall with some friends and ate in the food court, from there we went to the ice skating rink where I embarrassed the hell out of myself when I busted my ass in the middle of the rink. We talked all night and held hands as we skated around the rink, it was pretty much the cutest thing ever. He mentioned something about leaving for Missouri sometime soon for Basic Training for the Army, I thought nothing of it because lets be honest I had no idea we would end up together.
Now its 5 months later, and I have fallen completely head over heels in love with Logan Michael Walker. He is perfect, and now he is one month away from departing to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Its going to be hell not being able to wake up every morning to a text message, or ending every night with a “sleep tight babe” but I know we will last, I have never been more sure in my life. This boy has changed my life in so many ways.
He is my best friend. He is my boyfriend. He is my solider.
I’ll be right here when you come back <3 Promise.
